Been shopping around for a new desktop (I really don't have the time nor the expertise to build one on my own) and am probably going to order something from Digitalstar; however, the Asus Essentio M51AD-B05 has recently caught my eye. Here's its specs:
- i7-4770S 3.1GHz (3.9 with Turbo Boost)
- 12GB DDR3 RAM (upgradable to 16GB)
- 2TB Serial ATA III hard drive (7200 rpm)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 3GB
- Built-in high-speed wireless LAN (802.11ac)
- 500w PSU (no idea what brand, could be a problem)
- Windows 8.1 64-bit preinstalled
- KB+M combo
Price: $1,029 (no shipping required, most Best Buy stores have them in stock)
That's pretty damn cheap, considering the GPU and CPU. So what's the catch? Will it be full of bloatware? Will it be OEM parts? Will the case be a piece of shit?

Hi all, looking to upgrade my build to an Intel - Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor but basically every motherboard I plop into pcpartpicker seems to give me this error
- Some Intel B360/H310/Z370 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Coffee Lake Refresh CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.
Not really sure what to do or what motherboard to choose. I don't really want to spend a lot of money or do anything fancy, just something that works with my CPU is all I need. Even when I pick motherboards that pcpartpicker says are compatible, I get this message. I'm scared of buying the wrong one and destroying my parts lol. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
